Our forbearers used the open air and bush attack system of defecation. Hence it was normal to see adults and children defecating publicly in those days.  We witnessed or better still experienced the art of 'éyi-shi' na ókpé-édé or okpéshi while growing up. Some of us got up to mischief at times defecating or shitting at the wrong places. ,Nowadays urbanization has enveloped us, crowding our homelands with tenants and strangers.
