AGBANA LAND: A Background check

The Agbana land is well over 1000 hectares of land, with an estimated 600+ hectares of land for Obeagu Awkunanaw based members and 400+ hectares of land for the Amechi-Uwani based members.

The Agbana land technically is a low density area which means that one hectare of land is measured to be at least 15 plots of 100 × 60 in size.

This means that the size of the whole plots of land in Agbana is on the average a total of about 15,000 plots or more.

Estimated market price for plots in the area now is on the minimum 3.5million and 4 million Naira only. This value keeps appreciating as the current chaos caused by the detractors and landgrabbers deepens.

The continued battle for the illegal acquisition of Agbana land has gone on now for years. But most recently, the fallen embers of the fire was recharged by the special interest in the land by the Enugu state Government who are working in collaboration with some Estate developers to sell off the land bit after bit.

One of the prominent Estate developers who are visibly active in the current status is COPEN  GROUP.
