As was foretold, #VCN was set up

When in October, 26th 2019.
REPARATIONS FOR OKUNANO ENVIRONMENTAL VIOLATION CAMPAIGN Page on Facebook posted this Question and called for a word of advice to our brother, Dr. Victor Chukwuemeka Nnam from Umu Okunano, lots of encomiums enveloped the page...

The post simply put read:

Are there implications to having a full bred Okunano Osagwede Osawuwa man as the commissioner for Lands and urban development in Enugu state at a time our lands were being grabbed with impunity?

What are we to expect?

The current commissioner is a young man of impeccable character and integrity, who has a long and outstanding grasp of what's up between Enugu state Government(his employer) and his immediate community.

By a stroke of fate, the appointment to stand up for Okunano Osagwede communities landed on his lap.

The lofty questions now becomes:

1. Does he have the guts?
2. Will He restore once again the pride of Osagwede?

To whom much is given much is expected.

A word of advice for our brother the Honorable commissioner of Enugu state Lands and urban development ministry, Umu Okunano:...

That was in 2019, and afterwards, the now ex-commissioner of lands and urban development of Enugu State, our own son, Dr Victor Chukwuemeka Nnam did not, I repeat did not bring us to shame. He didn't just have the guts, he had conscience, a man of impeccable character and sterling resume.

He displayed great competence for the job.

He entered into the muddy waters and engaged with the syndicates of land grabbers, which in this case as well comprised of our people, our brothers who were forced to even confront him.

They played hard and they played dirty... Very dirty. Yet the young commissioner remained resolved and not just to salvage the situation of the Enugu Centenary Estate but the scattered landed properties grabbed by seemingly faceless organized criminals.

Many a times he was cited for being arrogant, dubious and fraudulent just because he would not yield to doing their business as usual.

He overwhelmed them with the details.

A professional and practiced surveyor, his outstanding performance in the presentation of facts and figures repelled the fraudsters who were hell-bent on unsurping our indigenous lands.

A battle he continued to fight without end. A battle he was determined to win given his high moral dispositions.

Perhaps a battle that led to the face off with his employer, the Ace land grabber himself.

He resigned. A noble decision for anyone with a clear conscience. And then enter the intimidation, the persecution, the conspiracy and detention.

Dr. Victor Chukwuemeka Nnam did his best according to his convintions and beliefs.

He was in a position to help protect our ancestral lands in the form of Enugu Centenary Estate, and he didn't relent. It's on the records. He did it for posterity. He has distinguished himself and that's the reason for all these baseless accusations and persecution.

However the story ends, Dr Victor Chukwuemeka Nnam has singled out himself.

However the story ends, he would not be put to shame.
