Okpétéru àhzi guchió uzo!

Image
The Okunano Osagwede adage: "Okpétéru àhzi guchió uzo" is a legacy that nature conveys on the elders of the families successively, the responsibility of transmitting correctly the values of the land, the culture and traditions of the Okunano people to the younger generation.  It is the hope of those who have passed on that their successors in the form of their parents, siblings and other members of their extended family, will fulfill these duties and responsibilities by carrying on in their stead. Okpétéru àhzi: meaning he that comes last, the last person or the surviving successor... the surviving eldest In the lineage of the family automatically enters into the position of leadership of that family by default. AGBANA LAND: A Background check

Image
https://goo.gl/images/vJ2LaZ The Agbana land is well over 1000 hectares of land, with an estimated 600+ hectares of land for Obeagu Awkunanaw based members and 400+ hectares of land for the Amechi-Uwani based members. The Agbana land technically is a low density area which means that one hectare of land is measured to be at least 15 plots of 100 × 60 in size.  This means that the size of the whole plots of land in Agbana is on the average a total of about 15,000 plots or more. Estimated market price for plots in the area now is on the minimum 3.5million and 4 million Naira only. This value keeps appreciating as the current chaos caused by the detractors and landgrabbers deepens. The continued battle for the illegal acquisition of Agbana land has gone on now for years. But most recently, the fallen embers of the fire was recharged by the special interest in the land by the Enugu state Government who are working in collaboration with some Estate developers to sell off the land bit af...

Things our  generations  have lost  due to white lies and  brainwashings . A  DIBỊA  in Igbo African culture is a man or a woman with vast knowledge of nature and  spirituality . In some cases they are called the wise ones, great ones, the eyes of the gods, or doctors which is the  literal  meaning of the word  DIBỊA  in Igbo language, ( native doctors). In this knowledge, mostly people are divinely  chosen to be a  DIBỊA , and sometimes also can be learned by being around or serving as apprentice to a well rich in knowledge  DIBỊA . There are several branches of being a DIBỊA ,  hence  being a  DIBỊA  is a vast knowledge, and I mean as vast as when you say in English that someone is a doctor. For example in  western  world a doctor  defines  as follows. A teacher or a learned man. A  person  who holds a  doctorate . A...
